To determine the wind of the torsion spring, observe the end of the spring with the ‘finger’ at the top of the wind. A spring is considered a right wind if the end is at 12:00 o'clock and pointing to the left; it is a left wind if the end points to the right at 12:00 o'clock. When inside the garage looking out, install the spring with the black painted winding cone on the right side, and the green painted winding cone on the left side.
