Description of Clopay Garage Door Rubber Bottom Weather Seal

Before installation, closely examine your existing seal and compare it to the line images provided above. If your door has a single channel on the bottom, this is the correct seal for you. However, if your door has a dual channel at the bottom, this seal will not be suitable.

When installing the weather seal, it is recommended to have two people. One person should form and guide the seal into the track, while the second person pulls the seal along the channel on the bottom of the door. Prior to installing the new weather seal, make sure to check the bottom of the door for any damage and address it as necessary. It is also beneficial to use a lubricant such as WD40 to help the seal slide into and down the channel or retainer. Only after this step should any excess weather seal be trimmed off, and the channel ends lightly pinched to secure the weather seal in place.

Door Bottom Seal:

The garage door seals are specifically designed for Clopay garage doors with bottom weather seals. Please note that they are only compatible with Clopay "single slot" doors. If your door does not have single-slot anchors, this seal will not fit properly.
